Dear Friends and Supporters,
Chan Dwat Mang’s parents divorced when he was about 10 months old. His mother ran off to India from the Chin Hills of Myanmar and was never heard from again. Soon after his father left for India too and like wise was never heard from again. Chan Dwat Mang was left with his ailing grandmother who has raised this little deaf boy for the past 7 years. The grandmother’s only possession is a goat which provides milk to be sold and which has supported the boy and herself these past years. Chan Dwat Mang would go with his grandmother each day to find food for the goat. Grandma would then milk it and sell the milk to buy food for themselves.

A few weeks before I arrived in Myanmar for our Summer seminars, Pa Lian, the pastor and leader of our church in Yangon returned to the Chin Hills to help prepare a grave for his mother who had died recently. He was approached by this old grandmother who begged him to take the boy as she feared that her life was drawing to and end and she was terribly concerned for the boy’s future. Pa Lian agreed to take the boy as his own so that when we arrived in Yangon in April the boy was well established with Pa Lian and his wife and all living in the new facility in Yangon. Pa Lian and Winnie are expecting their first child on July 4th. Their family is growing quickly as they have already taken in another boy. We are so thankful for the provision of the house in Yangon that is used for our church and centre. Major alterations have been made to the original house and it is proving to be a blessing to all. We are holding off on still further alternations until we know how much is to be paid in taxes.
Dewayne Leibrandt and myself were able to lead a summer seminar for 4 days teaching a group of deaf young and old who turned up each day and sat for hours in blistering heat with no complaints soaking up all that was being taught and shared. We nearly melted in 42 deg. heat with no fan as the power was off for most of the time. We are suggesting that a winter seminar might be more appropriate for next year!

US and Canada
Following our time in Myanmar Dewayne returned to Thailand while I headed off to Canada and the US via the UK.
We are now a legal entity in Canada and can issue tax deductible receipts. Peter Burritt is our representative in Canada and will be pushing the work in that country in the days to come.
Apart from 5 days in Korea on the way home most of the time was spent in the Cincinnati area where Peter and Liz Pfeil arranged my schedule of speaking and sharing. I was also able to go to Kansas City, Colorado Springs, Portland, Oregon and LA. Thank you to each and every one of you who made that trip so worthwhile and enjoyable for me. Thank you too to Lill who had the extra burden and load here while I was gone.
Uganda
The time is too quickly approaching for the 3rd conference, this time in Kampala, Uganada. August 2nd to 6th are the dates and the estimated cost is about $US 350. We would love to have you attend if at all possible but if not year help in enabling someone else to attend would be appreciated. Please pray as we prepare and get ready for this conference.

MMM and Davao
The building in Davao is still under construction and should be ready for opening and dedication in August. The MMM team from Australia did a fabulous job for which we are all so grateful. To complete the building we had to borrow $AUD100,000 which we need to pay back as soon as possible. This was an interest free loan but we would love to have it paid back quickly. Please pray with us about that amount.
God bless,
Neville, Lill and family
